Wins & Podiums at the Sunflower, Ben & Glenn re-sign for 2015

It was a fantastic weekend for the team at the Sunflower Trophy meeting promoted by Hillsborough and District Motorcycle Club Ltd. which took place on October 24th/25th at the Bishopscourt Race Circuit, Northern Ireland. Glenn Irwin was totally dominant in both Supersport races winning both and gaining a new lap record. Ben Wilson, in his first outing in 2014 on the Kawasaki ZX6R, finished in a great third place in the first race followed by an even better second place in race two.

Glenn was unfortunate to crash out whilst leading the Sunflower Trophy feature race but Ben finished in a excellent second place. Additionally, Ben took two second places in the Superbike races. Glenn also won both Supertwin races for VRS Kawasaki and was awarded a well deserved "Man of the Meeting".

The team is delighted to announce that we have re-signed Ben Wilson and Glenn Irwin to compete in the 2015 British Supersport Championship. Ben, following time spent on his beloved Kawasaki ZX6R at the Sunflower Trophy Meeting decided, with the full support of the team, he would like to return to the British Supersport series as he feels he has unfinished business.

Ben Wilson - "After a difficult year on the Superbike i enjoyed getting back on the Kawasaki ZX6R for the Sunflower Trophy meeting and would like to thank Michael and Norma once again for giving me the opportunity to get back on my 600cc machine. I am looking forward to contesting the 2015 Britiish Supersport Championship and getting back to a front running position."

Glenn Irwin - "I am over the moon to have re-signed and feel that i have all the ingredients to make a strong Championship challenge. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Michael and Norma plus the entire Gearlink Kawasaki team. I would also like to thank my personal sponsors for all their help and support and to all my fans for having faith in me".

Michael de Bidaph, Team Principal - "It has been a great year for Glenn and he has worked really hard to achieve his five wins and three podiums so am delighted that he will stay with the team and go onto even more success in 2015.

Whilst we had so much interest from many talented riders for the second Supersport ride, Ben has been an integral part of the team, getting our very first win in 2009. Ben and i have a very special realtionship, which is seldom found in any race team; it is only natural that i want Ben to be happy in the class that he will be riding in.

I will be in discussion with potential riders for the Superbike for the 2015 season so i can be contacted on my mobile;- 07900 570900 for more information about the ride".
