Podium at Donington Park

Following on from the team's podium success at the previous meeting at Thruxton it was time to head to the Donington Park National Circuit.

Solid points were gained by both of our rides in race 1. Ben Currie almost taking third place only to be pipped on the line for a hard fought 4th place. Eunan McGlinchey continued his run of top ten finishes with a 10 th place.

Race 2 saw Ben, starting from 4th on the grid, storm into the lead where he remained for the next 4 laps. It was a hard fought battle with the lead continually changing but Ben was determined to be at the front.  A fast charging Harry Truelove then joined the battle and overtook Ben. Ben responded and regained the lead and the pair of them fought to the end with Truelove just pipping Ben to the line by just 0.041s. This was another great performance by Ben to gain a 2nd place podium following his 2nd place podium at Thruxton. He now moves to third in the championship.

Eunan had an equally exciting and nail-biting race bringing the bike home in 4th place. He had his work cut out starting from 10th on the grid but stomed off the line, progressing up 2 places only to lose them again.

This did not deter him as he persued the pack in front of him and on lap 19 a crash in front of him saw 3 riders go down for him to grasp the opportunity and move up to 5th place. He finally crossed the line after a heroic ride in 7th overall but 4th in class. He remains 6th in the championship.

The next stop for the team is Cadwell Park which is Round 6 of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
