Assen

Following a disappointing weekend at Donnington Park where Ben Wilson crashed out in both races, the team moved to Assen for round 10 of the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship. It is a track that Gearlink Kawasaki, Ben and his team-mate for the weekend, Dan Cooper, had never raced before. With no previous race data for the track Ben impressively improved his qualifying lap times to achieve a great fourth place on the grid matching many of the riders that had riden there previously.

Despite not quite having the top end speed, Ben managed to stay with the leaders in Race 1 to finish a very creditable seventh place. For Race 2 he again made a good start but unfortunately the tyres did not last the distance but he still managed, as in Race 1, a good seventh place.

Dan Cooper struggled to find a good set-up, qualifying in 26th place on the grid. However, he manged to work his way through to finish 24th in Race 1 and 17th in Race 2.
