A new era for Gearlink Kawasaki

After many successful years of running the team together with his beloved Norma, Michael has decided to take a step back within the team and pass the leading role over to a well-known and long standing member of Gearlink, Ben Wilson.

Ben, along with his wife Lou, will manage the team going forward as we continue with our British Supersport Championship attack.

Ben - "This feels very much the natural step forward for me to lead Gearlink, a team that i have had most of my success and BSB career with. Following my leg injury in 2016, i have not felt able to return to racing within the British Championship as my leg will not allow me to compete competitively anymore. Therefore. i am looking forward to a new role within the BSB paddock and most importantly sharing my knowledge and experience in developing young, upcoming riders."

We plan to announce our 2022 rider lin-up in the next few days and look forward to the 2022 season.

A win at the season finale at Brands Hatch

Ben Currie ended the season on a high by taking his maiden win of the season at Brands Hatch in a the final nail biting race.

He got a lightning start from P6 on the grid moving through the pack to take an early lead until a red flag came out for an incident, halting his progress.

The restart saw Ben start from pole position when he got another impressive start widening the gap to his nearest challenger with just four laps to go. He took the chequered flag in style, a great way to finish the season and cemented his and the teams position as runners-up in the Championship.

Ben Currie "A mega season for me and the team just falling short of top spot in the Championship which is disappointing.

Thank you to all my sponsors for their continued support throughout the season and look forward to whatever the future holds in 2022, watch this space."

The team wishes to thank all it sponsors and fans for thier support throughout the season and will be looking to 2022 to build on the success of 2021.
