More wins at Oulton Park

The team had another fantastic weekend in the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship with Alastair Seeley stretching his Championship lead to 47 points gaining second place in race one and a superb win in race two. Ben Wilson had a mixed weekend with a third place in race one but was unfortunate to suffer a mechanical problem in race two.

Once again the two Supersport races were closely fought with the top four separated by just 1.4 seconds in race one and the top eight split by 1.8 seconds in race two. Alastair finished just 0.8 seconds behind the leader in race one and then went one better in a very competitive race two to achieve a great win. Ben was involved in a great battle in race one achieving a solid podium. He was looking to improve in race two but a mechanical fault occurred on lap 12 when he was in fourth place forcing him to retire.

In the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class, Luke Hedger continued his great form with a stunning second consecutive win. He took the lead from the start and despite several challenges maintained his lead on every lap to the finish. Mark Wilkinson managed to gain 14th place after qualifying in 20th place.

Team Manager Michael de Bidaph - " It has been another brilliant weekend for the team with two wins from Alastair and Luke is just a great achievement and a credit to the entire Gearlink Kawasaki team. We were up there all weekend with Alastair and Ben and the first race was a great result with two podiums and a win in the second race.

Alastair rode a very mature race in race two and despite dropping back to fourth he was always in contention and put in some great passes to get back to the front and take the win. He has a good lead in the Championship but we are only half way through the season so it is important to stay focused and continue to gain strong results.

I am really disappointed for Ben as he showed good pace all weekend and was running in a good position when he sufferred a bike problem. He has had his share of bad luck this season so we will make sure we can do everything we can to ensure he has good results at Cadwell Park.

Luke once again proved his maturity and despite being locked in a tight battle he was not fazed and kept his head down to take another great win for the team. Mark was feeling a bit uncomfortable coming here as it is a track he has struggled with but he improved all weekend, worked hard and pushed his way through to gain more Championship points in a solid ride."
