Rider line up for 2021

We are pleased to announce that Ben Currie will stay with the team for 2021 and that Eunan McGlinchey will join him as team mate.

As we rev up for the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike Championship season, Ben is setting his sights firmly on top spot in the Quattro Supersport Championship after coming 8th in the shortened 2020 season with 8 top ten finishes.

The Australian rider who now lives in the UK, spent the 2019 season in the Superbike class but missed 3 rounds due to injuries sustained after crashing out at Oulton Park which hindered his chances with the Quattro Plant JG Speedfit team. We welcomed him back in 2020 to compete again in the Supersport class.

The team also welcome Eunan McGlinchey who returns from a brief stint on the world stage after coming fourth in the 2019 National Supestock 600 series only 16 points behind champion Korie McGreevy.

Eunan won the British Junior Supersport Championship in his rookie year in 2018. His record certainly packs a punch, and is definitely going to provide some adrenaline pumped action for 2021.

The team has set their sights on one thing only and that is to do the Supersport one, two in the championship and with the backing of Kawasaki Team Green and the ability of the two riders it is certainly within our reach for 2021.

Ben Currie - "After a really tough year with the 636, I'm looking forward to putting the wrongs to right in 2021 with the guys at Gearlink Kawasaki. We know what needs to be changed going into the new year and those things are well underway. It's exciting times to be with the team right now with things happening to make that next step and push for the championship. I'm also looking forward to welcoming my new team mate and working alongside him."

Eunan McGlinchy - " I am absolutely over the moon to be joining the Gearlink Kawasaki team in 2021. Growing up as a young boy going to watch BSB with my dad, this was one of the teams that i always watched and now to be actually riding for them is a dream come true.

Having been in Team 109 for the past three years, winning a British Junior Supersport Championship in my debut year in 2018, finishing 4th in BSB Stock 600 Championship in 2019 and finally last year, which was a tough year, taking part in in the WSB 300 class. I finished the year having gained and learned a lot about new tracks and my own riding skills. Now i am ready, and eager and relly looking forward to working and learning with a new team.

Meeting with up with team owner Michael and Arron recently I'm really confident that they will give me the right package to be running at the front on the 600 and I can't wait to get started. I'll have a great team mate in Ben who is a well experienced rider whom I'm sure will help me in passing on his knowledge base of his own experiences which i will truly value.

My goal this year is to be running at the front from the start. It looks like it's going to be a competitive class which i hope will make for brilliant racing and viewing for all the BSB fans".

Team Manager - Arron Philips -" We are really pleased to keep Ben on board for another year. It was a hard year with the bike in 2020 and was tough for Ben coming off the Superbike back to Supersport but towards the end he started to gel with the bike and proved at the last round he is still a massive contender for the championship.

Alongside him we have managed to sign Eunan, a young and very talented rider. We are super excited and can't wait to start working with him in the 2021 season."
