Good Points at Donington Park

It was a new weekend for the team at round three of the Dickies British Supersport Championship at Donington Park. The team made some big changes to the bikes which saw the riders have a much stronger weekend than at the previous two rounds. Ross Twyman was sixth in race one and seventh in race two. Ben Wilson was eighth in race one and a fantastic fourth in race two.

It was the first time using the new set-up so it was mainly a testing weekend. Ross and Ben spent practice and qualifying trying to get a good feeling with the bikes. Ross manged to qualify in 14th and Ben next to him in 15th. They both got good starts with Ross moving to 10th after the opening lap and Ben in 12th. They worked exceptionally hard during the race to work their way through the pack with Ross securing a strong sixth place and Ben in eighth.

For race two Ross started from 10th with Ben 12th. Ben got an awesome start and was soon on the back of the leaders but thay edged away slightly as the race progressed but he was still able to secure a fantastic fourth place, his best result of the season so far and a great achievement after missing three years of racing due to injury. Ross worked his way through the pack after dropping back to 12th after lap one but he kept his head down to finish in a strong seventh place.

Team Manager Michael de Bidaph - "As i said at Oulton Park, we felt it would be better to continue with our old 600 Supersport bikes now we have the extra power.

Whilst we are still not where we want to be i feel that we have made a significant step forwards with both riders scoring some valuable points in both races. I am sure that we can now keep making progress with the bike that we know so well."
